Activities

There are a number of value-added events at the CDSS Conference. The Welcome Reception, Saturday night events, and AGM are free to attend. Those attending the AGM must be members of CDSS.

Sunday Morning: CDSS’s Annual General Meeting

Sunday Night: Banquet and Cocktail

Dress up and put on your dancing shoes! On Sunday night, join us for a semi-formal dinner and dance! We will be celebrating CDSS’s 30th anniversary. Tickets must be purchased to attend. 

Banquet ticket costs:

  • Adults (13 and up): $65.00
  • Kids: $35.00
  • Tickets must be purchased online or at the registration booth to attend.

Programs

Self-Advocate & Teen Program

The Self-Advocate & Teen Program is for self-advocates (adults with Down syndrome) and youth aged 13-18* and takes place during session times (Saturday and Sunday).

Snacks and lunch will be provided. If you require any food considerations please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

*Attendees aged 12 and 13 can choose to attend Childcare or Teen Program (based on availability).

 

Childcare Program

Childcare is available for attendees aged 2-12* on-site, each day during session times (Saturday and Sunday). Childcare will be split into two groups: ages 2-6 and 7-12. You are responsible for dropping off and picking up your child. Pre-registration is required, and preference has been given to families from out of town. Snacks and lunch will be provided. If your child requires any food considerations, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate his or her needs.

*Attendees aged 12 and 13 can choose to attend Childcare or Teen Program (based on availability).

** All staff have an up-to-date Criminal Record Check.
