What is a matching gift?
Some employers offer a corporate matching gift program where they will financially match your donation to a registered charity. It can apply to donations you have recently made, donations your spouse has made, or a fundraiser you intend to host. Companies typically match donations at. a1:1 ratio, but some will match 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio.
How do I request a matching gift?
Use the search tool above to check if your employer offers a matching program. If they do, fill out the request form with the information provided above and submit it to the email listed.
I made a donation a few months ago. Can I still apply for a matching gift?
Some matching programs apply to recent donations made by you or your family member. Use the search tool above to see if your employer has a matching program and specific restrictions.
Can my company's matching gift be applied to a participant, team, or event?
Yes, matching programs include participation in fundraising events.
Are corporate matching gifts and matching donation challenges the same thing?
No. A matching donation challenge (also known as a matching grant) is typically time-gated. Matching gifts are not.
