You’re Invited to Be a Walk Ambassador!

You have been hand-picked to represent your community in this national fundraising event that supports life-changing programs across Canada. As a Down Syndrome Walk Ambassador, you will be a local community leader harnessing the power of your network to make this event a huge success.

How will you help? By getting your community involved in the event on June 17th and raising funds that are essential for offering CDSS programs. As an Ambassador, your support will be helping new parents expecting a baby with Down syndrome, supporting Down syndrome employment, helping families learn literacy skills, and investing in critical research for our community.

What Do I Need to Do?

This event cannot succeed without the commitment and leadership of people like you. As a Walk Ambassador, we ask that you:

☑️ Participate in a community video with other self-advocates and their families. (This requires filming a short 10-second video with your phone and submitting it.)

☑️ Submit 3 photos of yourself that can be used for the event website and social media alongside other Ambassadors.

☑️ Fundraise with your friends and family leading up to the event on June 17th and encourage others to do so, too!

☑️ Share social media posts about the event when possible (if you have social media.)

☑️ Choose how you want to participate on June 17th – a walk, a bike ride, a yoga class, a picnic in the park, a dance party – and invite your community to join you!

☑️ More Details to Come…
